Precise heat input, controlled force, reproducible quality
Thermode soldering is a high-precision, selective contact soldering process for sophisticated assemblies in electronics production. At the centre of the process is a heated thermode, which is placed on the solder joint at a precisely defined temperature. The direct contact ensures that the necessary thermal energy is introduced into the joining zone in a targeted manner. The solder melts in a controlled manner, wets the contact surfaces and, after cooling, forms a reliable, mechanically stable and electrically conductive connection.
The thermode soldering process at EUTECT is based on three precisely controlled core parameters:
- Precise temperature control: The thermode is heated to a precisely defined temperature. The heat is only applied where it is needed.
- Controlled contact pressure: A precisely defined force is applied during the soldering process.
- Micrometre-precise penetration path: A key advantage of the EUTECT systems is the micrometre-precise controllable penetration path. This means that the contact between the thermode and the component is controlled with high precision.
All parameters are controlled, monitored and documented via a central HMI. This enables maximum process stability and complete traceability, particularly for applications in the automotive, medtech, industrial electronics and high-reliability sectors.
